The story is invented

Julian, Lukas, the dying mainframe, the 2400-baud line, the haunting, and the "archive" framing are all fictional. No one is transmitting anything to anyone. Nothing here is leaked, classified, or unredacted. There is no real person in danger and no real whistleblowing taking place.

The history is real — and handled with a two-layer standard

Many entries reference real historical events. Those are summarized from the public record and presented soberly. We hold two layers to two different standards: documented atrocities and real victims are treated as documentary — no embellishment, no horror styling, no invented "evidence" — while the surrounding fiction is clearly a game.

Some entries are deliberate fabrications

Woven through the archive are entries that are invented on purpose: confabulations planted as part of the game. Telling the real from the fabricated is part of the experience. Do not cite this site as a historical source. For anything that matters, consult the primary and scholarly sources behind each real event.

Sources & methodology

Every entry concerning a real event is built only from human-verified, sourced briefs drawn from the public historical record; nothing claiming to be historical is generated without one. A full source-and-methodology statement for the historical material is maintained here and updated as the archive grows.

Commerce terms

Memberships ("Keep the Line Open") and any products exist to fund a fictional entertainment project. They do not fund real whistleblowing and grant no access to real secrets. Payments are processed by Stripe; memberships can be cancelled at any time, which stops future charges.
